I know there are a lot of Andreescu threads, but she's 9th in the live ranking and only Serena could pass her. So she will be in Top 10 at the end of this week, we don't know yet the position.

Well Bianca is "already" 19 but this is probably the most impressive tour debut year since Williams-sisters, Hingis, Capriati or Seles.

Bianca lost in the qualifying of each Slam last year and now she can go all the way to the finals at her main draw debut in New York.
I think only Venus Williams in 1997 and Pam Shriver in 1978 did so.

Yes. Congratulation.
Every time a non-pusher enters the Top-10, it's good news.
Andreescu strikes from both sides with excellent angle. She can drop-shot, volley and doesn't rent a tent behind the baseline like many pushers. The girl plays smart tennis.
Welcome to the Top-10, indeed !!!!!!!!!!

The highest career achievements for a Canadian player was set by Eugenie Bouchard in 2014 being ranked No 5 in the world and being RUP in one slam final. Should Bianca win this title she would be ranked No 5 and ergo would have eclipsed Bouchard's mark.
