From the WTA website:

No.8 seed Ysaline Bonaventure defeated Indy De Vroome in one of the most dramatic matches of the day. Lasting two hours and 45 minutes, Bonaventure had to come back from a set down and save three match points in nail-biting second set tiebreak. The Belgian finally pulled away in the third, recording a hard-fought 3-6, 7-6(9), 6-2 victory.

Well fought, Ysaline! :D

Anyone knows how the ranking works from now on? Points to defend from last year??
Points from 2019 are kept for tournaments that are cancelled and also in case a player doesn't play a certain tournament.
For example, Barty not playing US Open 2020 => she keeps her 2019 points on her ranking.

That is one strange rule.

Wickmayer saving the day, who would have thought that 😜

Kirsten wasn't that bad, if this match was on grass or hard it would have had a different outcome.
Elise on the other hand... 😩
