Winning FO at 17 is no big deal, Ostapenko did it in 19. Winning Wimbledon at 17 or 18 like Maria and Serena did is much tougher.

But getting your stats correct is a big deal, apparently. Ostapenko had turned 20 by the time she won her RG and Serena was 20 when she won her first Wimbledon.

I'm not so sure about anisimova against barty. But it would be great if someone so young like her can win this french open. A great sign for wta future.

she was a set and 3-0 up and just won like 17 straight points when i made this thread:p

it was mentality that lost her the plot today and not physicality ..she looked like a little girl out there after getting broken 3-0 up in the third:(

Look, tennis is about the player- all other factors or stats can be thrown out the window. Is she is a talented player and the draw works out, then yes. We were literally points away from a teen final. 3 years ago it didn't look likely ever again.
