Wasn't Serena supposed to be on TV tonight??

Not sure but I did see that she is on the VMA awards list. Not sure if she is a presenter??? I forget what list she was on.

She's on RIGHT NOW, on CNN.

I just saw her and this is what she said:

She will be back playing tennis later this year (didn't give a date) and her rehab is going well

Response to MN's comment that would like to play the sisters in doubles because she and Venus aren't good doubles players. Serena said that she and Venus have won the career Grand Slam in doubles and have nothing to prove to anyone.

Repsonse to the fact that the FO final ratings this year were down 39% from last year when she and Venus played. Serean said that she and Venus have brought a new fan base to tennis.

MN said in the New York Times Magazine yesterday that she wanted to play the sisters again in doubles (remember, they beat her once and they other time they were supposed to play her (Wimbeldon 2001) they withdrew due to Serena's illness and supposedly MN was upset) because she knew she would be able to beat them becasue she doesn't think they are good doubles players.

Knizzle, did you see Serena on CNN? She look fabulous and she gave a great interview. Ofcourse, Martina N said something negative about the sisters that they are not good in doubles and she would like to challenge them in doubles. Serena's answer was as usual very dipomatic. She also said she is not rushing the healing process she is taking her time to fully recover. They also showed the FO fisaco cheating again and ofcourse, again, Serena said she is over that and she is moving on. She's such a lovely young lady. Great interview. What channel is Venus suppose to be on. I am not watching the open and I need to see a Williams.

I don't think so, but I think they will be showing clips of it for the next couple of days.

Serena also was surprised that Pete was going to retire and she said he was someone she looked up to. She also said that she was disappointed to not be at the USO, but that she will be back soon enough. Paula implied that she and her sister will be missed at this year's Open.

Oh, yes and Serena lookied great!

Martina Navritalova seems to have alzhiemers. Her and Kusnestzova played Venus and Serena at the Austrailan Open this year where they were clocked 3&1 by the sisters. They also played at Wimbeldon in 2000 where she here partner also lost handidly to the sisters (who won the title that year).

She is supposed to present at the awards. You know how Serena loves those free gifts. LOL(if you didn't read the elle story, read it). Each presenter and performer gets these extravagant prize packs. Trips, gamecubes, year supplies of products. etc.

Anyways, I'm pissed. Why didn't anyone say anything about this interview? Is Venus coming on later or what?

How could you have missed it? It was on the msg boards and on their website. Anyway it was a great interview and as usual Serena looked like a million bucks... oh I forgot she has more than that, I think she and Venus' worth is like 600million.

I don't understand why MN would be "pissed" at Serena and/or Venus.
