Krueger overmatched by Bektas, hopefully it was a good learning experience. Good that she got into MD.

Not that long ago Hercog was solidly in the top 50, also Ferro and Peterson. Diyas also solid. Match between Diyas and Hercog, if that happens, should be a good one.

I do hope they get the video feed figured out better on court 1 tomorrow. The stream during the Peterson match was a mess.

What a disappointing result for Zarina.

Hercog was 4-0 down first set and won 6 games in a row!

I do follow some juniors, but I don't think I have ever seen Kalieva play. Is there potential there? Decent win for her against Diyas.

An exciting QF line up for a 60K ITF!
It's a nice line up, but just wish they had a better livestream for it, especially for the quality of players they were able to get for this. It also wouldn't have hurt to get Radio Tennis on site for the commentary.

So far so good for Peterson. Cabrera gave Peterson a challenge in the first set, mainly because Rebecca was having issues keeping the ball in, but Lizette fell apart in the second set. It was nice that the video feed was a little more stable on Court 1 today, than it was yesterday.

Peterson and Brengle in the SF. Madison was down 0-4 in the third set but as always, if her junk ball game is on point, she can be a major pain to put away. This could be an interesting match to watch, hopefully the livestream continues to hold up.

Minus Kalieva, who I have never heard of and would need to look up, this looks like a WTA 250 SF line up!

I noted Kalieva also beat Diyas, so whoever she is, this is an impressive week for her.

EDIT: researched Kalieva now: an up and coming American teen. Exciting prospect!

Oh, Polona - despite winning two matches this is horrible result for her. She barely win her R1 against player ranked out of TOP 500 and now lose against Kalieva - which seems to be in good form though. Really wonder what future will bring for Polona. She isn't youngest anymore, out of top 100 ...

Plus she didn鈥檛 have particularly great results on clay this year, which has kept her ranking as a solid top 100 player in the past. She didn鈥檛 play any of the Clay court events between Wimbledon and USO series - I wonder if she was injured during that time.
