She's truly on fire at the moment, winning her 2nd 60k+H in a row, literrally destroying everyone in the field  She has played a lot this year also, winning 5 titles and 64 matches overall.
Ranked #447 at the end of last year, she's going to peak at #121 tomorrow. Russia's No.1 Alexandrova better watch out :scared:

Her last two tournament wins:

> W60+H Valencia - Clay (Spain)
R1: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [Q] Nicoleta-Catalina Dascalu (ROU) 6-2 7-5
R2: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [7] Allie Kiick (USA) 6-1 6-1
QF: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. Cagla Buyukakcay (TUR) 6-2 6-1
SF: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. Irina Maria Bara (ROU) 6-1 6-1
F: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [3] Tamara Korpatsch (GER) 3-6 6-2 6-0

> W60+H Saint-Malo - Clay (France)
R1: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [Q] Lucie Wargnier (FRA) 6-3 6-0
R2: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [2] Aliona Bolsova (ESP) 6-3 6-1
QF: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [Q] Eva Guerrero Alvarez (ESP) 6-3 6-2
SF: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. [3] Natalia Vikhlyantseva (RUS) 6-3 5-2 ret.
F: Varvara Gracheva (RUS) d. Marta Kostyuk (UKR) 6-3 6-2

Remember that thread about the highest ranked player you have never seen play/can't recognize a photo of? Varvara Gracheva for sure for me. What a meteoric rise. Other posters have said good things about her game. She is only 19 and received zero hype, just stringing together win after win :yeah:

Zero hype, zero WCs. She was a top 20 junior so it's not as if she came completely out of nowhere but her results have just kept on coming this year.

Just goes to show that hype and results are very different things. If Gracheva was from a different country you bet we'd all have heard of her long before now (we're all quite familiar with Aiava, Claire Liu etc, who are her peers).
