Very weak EL for an ITF 60K but hardly a surprise when the tournament conflicts with Wimbledon qualies. Great opportunity for lowly ranked players to grab some valuable ranking points here, not to mention more prize money than perhaps they would usually earn.

New generation naming conventions?

Perhaps that should read "Margaret from Area 51." :D
Turns out that Margaret is actually Margaret (Meggie) Navarro, Emma's little sister. I watched this match - she got completely outclassed by Quinn Gleason. However, she's only 17 and it was her very first senior pro match. At least she went home with breadsticks rather than bagels.

Really want to see Chirico have a nice week here. She has qualified and has a good quarter. She's been out soo long with injury.

Gorgeous Fanni Stollar won a round in singles, I am stoked. Sad to hear she won’t be playing doubles in the Olympics however.

Very happy for Fernanda Contreras. :) Didn’t expect her to pass the QF and she surprised me by beating Navarro 6-4, 6-4 today. Another good week.
