Paula playing here  And after playing so much the last weeks, going deep in tournaments

If she doesn’t win the title :spit: Such a weak field, even for a 25k. If it wasn’t for her, Hesse would be the top seed :hysteric:

Just realised this is clay. If it was hard I could have maybe understood Paula, 60 points for winning, equivalent of reaching a WTA international tournament, home event, always likely to be weak as her fellow US Open qually rivals will be playing the likes of Landisville, getting ready for Vancouver etc. but still bring on clay in August for a now top 100 player is strange.

To make it at all worthwhile she'll have to make the final (ideally win it), but with her extended runs in Palermo and Karlsruhe, it'll mean a lot of matches in such a short time, as Javi pointed out.

Still, 1 down, and more 300+ players to come, and she'll likely know what she's doing.

Really glad to see Ashley Lahey show up in a draw this summer. :yeah: Hoping she'll go pro after she graduates next spring.

Good luck to Ibbou against --wait, PAULA BADOSA?? Well I guess she doesn't mind the free hospitality, in the Canary Islands. A little vacation for her with some tennis on the side. A shame for the other players who really need each point, though. :p

I was thinking the same thing. It's smart to build a little point cushion, if she can, before graduation, to make the transition easier. I hope she plays next week too!

Ibbou's in the SFs!:eek::eek: Best week she's ever had at the 25K level, by far.

Unfortunately. Ines' great run came to an abrupt end in the SFs. :bigcry: Still a breakthrough week for her. Build on it, kid. :yeah:

how old is she?
She's 20. In 2013, the year she turned 14, she won her first ITF pro titles in both singles and doubles. She was supposed to be very good but never delivered.

Sherif got 5 titles and 2 finals in her last 8 tournaments. The first 3 were 15 K level but still an impressive streak and her results have not noticed the change from 15k to 25k. She’ll crack top 200 in no time at this rate.

Fantastic! I really hope she can keep soaring, inspire others in her country.
I feel ashamed I've never noticed her name until today.
