I am sending unbearable waves of laziness to Kim Clijsters. She'll stop practicing soon, get 20 kilos extra weight and will arrive to Australia in 6 weeks time with one single goal - to get pregnant from US Open champion as soon as possible. She will succeed in that shortly and no longer will be a threat to my girls..
Ys, even with twenty extra kilos, Kim will beat and Elena. It's all in their heads. Not their booties! Kim is much stronger mentally. Physically, they are about equal. Elena is a couple inches taller. The other big difference is that Kim can play the whole court, while Elena is only comfotable on the baseline. I just hope being whipped by Clijsters in Madrid and Dokic in Moscow, will upset Elena to the point of Elena making the needed improvements in her game. Especially her serve. Her serve is holding her back. And that's too bad. Putting a hex on Kim won't work. Look into Kim's eyes, and you'll see Tigrees! Look into Elena's eyes and you'll see a Kitten! Face it Ys. Kim, right now is too good, too tough and too much for Elena. It's up to Elena to catch up to Kim. Elena has alot of catching up to do. Udachi Elena!
P.S. - I hope Elena's pride wasn't too badly hurt by Kim's thrashing of her in the Fed Cup final. Or, maybe if Elena's pride was hurt, she'll do something about it.
Why not use your voodoo to remove the mysterious Evil Curse that has kept all Russian women from winning any titles at all for the last couple years, including TWO very talented players who made it to the top 10!
What does Henrieta Nagyova have -- 8 titles or something? IT'S NOT THAT HARD!!!! Come ON, Russians!
Janie, what has Nagyova won? Dementieva has been to the 2000 U.S. Open semi's and 2000 Olympic final, and has wins over Davenport, V. Williams and Hingis early in her careeer. Nagyova can't touch that. Sure, the Russian female tennis players have underachieved. But is winning a small tournament going to turn Elena D. and Anna K. into grand slam contenders? I think not! Or nyet! But some Russian girl/woman will win a WTA tournament in 2002. This is the twenty first century. They can't go 3 years without a WTA title. Can they?

I think that in 2002 the following Russians should win at least one title each: Anna K, Lina K , and Elena D -- but ONLY if they follow the example of Nagyova and enter some small tourneys.
AK is on the right track, having already signed up for New Zealand; that's a start.
But until one of them wins, why not try your voodoo to help remove this Curse??
