Actually, I think this is good news for the Open. Since Venus knows here sister won't be there, she wants to be 100% to particpate.

Venus can still come out and win without the warm up tournaments.

PS - Kim is gonna be shattered by the time the Open comes around after all the tennis shes been playing!!!

As far as I know, she didn't enter and I doubt she will enter now. If she didn't play Toronto because of the abdominal strain I don't think she would take a chance of making it worse in New Haven.
