I always cheer for Vee to lift the RG trophy concedes Monica and Anna.BUT I feel SHE"S NOT ABLE to win it.Clay is not her type ,just as grass is not Monica.Unforced Errors is easily committed on clay and she[vee] loves to do so:-`)

More,Isn't she the one who once says 3 or 4 slams this year is her main target?Or what about the News articles like"Venus can't accept lose anymore" before Oz ? And am I hallucinated or what for that I remember clearly about father Richard prediction of Vee as #1 and Rena as #2. "The #1 spot is meaningless"--liar.
I know the RG dusts gonna make her cry again.

Venus... did you hear that??? Clay isn't your type!

BUT I feel SHE"S NOT ABLE to win it.Clay is not her type ,
If clay is not her type... she shouldn't have ownership of claycourt titles... if it's just not her type, Venus shouldn't have wins on clay over Sanchez Vicario a three time French Champ, Hingis a wannabe French Champ, Pierce a French Champ.

Venus is a good enough player to win on any surface. I definitely think she has got the stuff to win on red clay.

Will she do it this year? Who knows but if she stays healthy there is no reason why she can't win.

Hingis couldn't make it to that 7th match last year it seems.

Something her and Pete Sampras will have in common...Sampras couldn't handle 7 matchs on Clay, neither will Williams (either one)
Who was that girl losing in the 6th match last year against JC in straight sets??? Hingis failure at the French, matches up better with Sampras' failure... they've both played there more than the Williams.. they both continue to LOSE there more than the Williams. ;)

"I'd like to take control at Roland Garros. I'm fed up with losing over there," the American said.

That sounds great!! :bounce: :D

"I've never been at my best at the French. This year I'm going to start by getting there in good physical shape.

"All year round, most players would be happy to have my serve and my power, but at Roland Garros I need to find a good balance between power and other things you need when you're playing on a clay court," she said.

Looks like she knows how to win there now :D

Adrian like ya but that was an unwarranted statement you made about Venus.

First of all, Venus can play on any surface and her movement on clay is really better than even most so called "clay-court specialists."

Venus is one player I really feel can conquer Roland Garros someday, even if it's not this year.
