Well I wanted to ask a few questions as well as compile the various grand slam finals records. I know some of these, but help me with others.

The youngest grand slam final: 1997 US Open - Hingis (16) vs. V.Williams (17)

The tallest grand slam final: 2000 US Open - V.Williams vs. Davenport

The grand slam final with the largest difference in age: 1991 US Open - Seles (17) vs. Navratilova (34)

So my question is:

The oldest grand slam final?

The shortest (height) grand slam final?

The grand slam final with the largest difference in height?

The longest (time) grand slam final?

The shortest (time) grand slam final?

Any others?

I just think this is interesting ;)

Good questions-

I'm not sure the 1991 Us Open had the greatest age gap EVER. In the Open era, yes. But in the olden days women kept their age a secret. By some accounts both Molla Mallory(1926 Us finalist) and Dorothea Chambers(1920 Wimbledon) were over 40 at the time!

Virgina Wade and Betty Stove were both over 30 at the 1977 Wimby final. Not sure if that's the oldest or not.

I think Wimbledon 1998 featured the oldest finalists: Novotna and Tauziat.
