I have never heard of Tamara but if she is routining Valya that easily I might have to keep an eye on her  :yeah:

Good job getting to QF. Too bad it's only a peasant G5 though :eek:h:

There's another tournament in Qatar this week, a G4 this time :)

Valya beat Denisa Hindova (this year's L'es Petits As runner-up) 2-6 7-6(4) 6-2 in R1 :eek:h: :yeah:

She will face 2nd seed Ania Hertel (#331), who's not very strong, in R2 :bounce:

Wow she is doing so well, coming out on top on all the three setters :worship: Gave that a girl a tease with the second set bagel before routining her in the third

GL in the final Valya! Hope she can grab her first title

Aww, so close

This was definitely a breakthrough tournament. She's always had talent and she wins matches she's not expected to win because she's young, but some girls stay like that and stagnate by the time they reach 14/15, when they're actually meant to be doing well. So it's good to see her make a big leap and fight through all these three setters to make the final :yeah:

And yeah, no shame in a loss to Davies.
