LOL the withdraw from OSAKA was expected because she needed another week to recover, go on talk shows, count her money etc and it is only a P470 :eek:h:

but withdrawing from a P5 900 :smash: :fiery:

She was # 152 at the end of last year so she can choose what she wants to play. Why do you make such a big deal out of it anyways?
He's a China lobbyist, even if you didn't see that before, see how he shrugs off withdrawal from Osaka and complains about Wuhan.

Injuries have caused her to miss a lot of events in the past, and not just this year. So I think staying healthy is probably the #1 priority influencing her scheduling. She's playing Beijing, and if she played Wuhan, that would -potentially- be 2 straight weeks of matches. Add in all the extra demands of being the most recent GS winner, and . . . I think it's understandable.

If she plays Beijing and Shenzhen its enough. She is still a teenager and this is very new to her
Its better for the field to not have Serena and Andreescu in Wuhan

By the time most players hit Beijing, they’re ground down and beat up from the long season and already playing a couple weeks in Asia... Coming into Beijing fresh should make the draw a little more easy pickings for Bianca...

She's not going to do back-to-back tournaments so its either Wuhan or Beijing -- not both.

She'll do the same next year when choosing IW over Miami (mostly because she'll want to defend her title). And again when choosing Rogers over Cincinnati.

The problem isn't her. The problem is some PMs and P5s are scheduled too close together. They ought to be spread out throughout the year more to give players some rest between them.

She just doing this to guarantee her points from being Champion of Norman Oklahoma 25k will count in her race points, also her QF points from Lawrence Kansas.

Norman OK is more relevant than Wuhan. :eek:h:

Good. Young girls should not overplay. How many times have we seen a young talent start winning early, then overplaying, getting injured, and ruining career?
Play Beijing only if YEC is not secured.

you know the deal with Wuhan just as well as everybody else.

There is only one huge, star-studded, must-play event in China and that is the China Open. Wuhan hasn't been able to gain the same prestige despite putting up the money. Respect can't always be bought. Or at least, it often takes quite a long time to build it up.

Fun fact: The top 4 players all have over 1000 points to defend between now and the end of the year. Some of them have over 1500 points to defend.

Bianca has 180.

If they all do nothing and take the rest of the year off, Bianca could almost default into #1 overall.

Another reason for her not to play Wuhan.
