Yeah, Xinyu was actually the 4/6 favourite coming into this, so an opportunity missed. I was quite surprised she qualified because while she was going on a tear on the Asian W25 scene to get her ranking high enough for the qualifiers, her best win in 2019 was the likes of 200+ Fangzhou Liu and Fang Ying Xun, and she lost to some of the better players she faced, but she was won her quals very convincingly, especially the last 2 rounds.
Keys will probably be happy. With Zhu you kind of know what you're going to get, whereas a 17 year old, still learning with nothing to lose, and more weapons, could have been a bit more of a banana skin.
There was obviously a lot going on while this match was happening, but I did have it on in the background. A few breaks in the first set, but Zhu was always ahead and Wang chasing, whereas in the second set, Wang recovered from 0-2 to 3-2 with a break but couldn't capitalise.
