It's common knowledge they migrated to the USA.
Punky is correct that most Jews leaving the Mid-East went to Israel and Europe. Large-scale Jewish immigration to the US happened before and during WW2 and it was from Europe and (I think) Russia.

Ok, I am just surprised you didn't know a lot of Jewish people migrated to the USA. That's before Israel was established.

- There has never been a time when most immigrants to the US fit that profile.
"Most" is a big number. It's enough get a good number of those who are the absolute top of their field in the global scale. They make American companies competitive, create jobs and scientific progress.

- Your claims about socialists are both foolish and childish.
I just have to wait a democrat open his/her mouth and my claims are confirmed.

- Look up the Chinese Exclusion Act. Read about what Japanese people endured during WW2.
You should look up what kind of people Stalin and communists jailed or killed. The Eastern block was a one big jail because productive individuals would have fled.

The promise of America has been yes of a level playing field where all that matters is a person's individual traits. That promise has yet to be fully realized. As it stands there are many countries that have systems as fair or more fair than the US. The US is set apart only because it has the biggest economy by far among such countries.
Could you name some of the countries more free and fair than the US?

Irrelevant to your initial claim. All Western nations get some amount of people good in their fields.

Fat people
 Unfortunately, you're not wrong. Among major nations the US is #1 in obesity rates. It's the only Western nation in the top 25.

Actually, I now see it was YOU pov who again replied to a post out of context. Your comment was out of place in the context, since Onslow's post was referring to migration from Europe (and Mid-East).

A lot of people of Jewish heritage were crucial in establishing the American civilization as we know it, and that was the point of the original post.

What most people forget or don`t take account of is that "countries" actually are only temporary, hypothetical, political phenomena.
In terms of a leading a dignified existence by having a respectful relation towards their fellows but also a deeper understanding of their surrounding nature Red Indians probably were the culturally most highly developed humans who ever have and will have been living in that part of the world.

That's mostly romanticized nonsense.

1. USA has been around since 1776, so it's not really "temporary" or "hypothetical". Or course you could choose very long time perspective and say "Earth's existence is temporary".

2. Most native cultures were barbarian. Human lives meant very little. If we see anything "dignified" of sophisticated in native cultures, it's because we judge them by our modern Western standards and values. At the same time we see flaws in our own culture especially in relation to nature.

When is pov coming back?

And on topic, as the latest research shows then the Indigenous Americans as we know them today were not the first humans to live in that part of the world, as they are part of a later wave of migration. So who gets claim to the land? It's kind of a silly question in my opinion. There's enough land in USA for everybody.

That can be said about any country. Human sapiens originated in what is modern day Ethiopia and migrated around.

Also, the indigenous groups of USA go back 15000 years ago to ice age, that's long before the vikings came to Norway.

actually, using the term "native american" would be offensive to other ethnicities......they have every right to believe they are native to their land as well......
LOL. Do you even know the history?
