Good luck Gisela! :yeah:

Does anybody know what is going on with Gise's play lately? Is she hurt? Is it love? Is it her brother the coach? Is it just a few bad matches?

I watched the match yesterday. Rybarikova was 5-1 40-0 in the first set when Gisela started to play AMAZINGLY great until the 4-5. Then Gisela made huge mistakes and lost the first set.

In the second one, Rybarikova played pretty well while Gisela made tons of UEs

Unfortunately I couldn't take any picture because my camera runned out of battery while I was watching Paszek vs Makiri :)hearts:). Gisela was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue skirt, just like she did in Indian Wells 2004

Hopefully I'll watch her doubles match. Cya! :wavey:

it is just a few bad matches and then probably have a good tournament in the asian tour.everytime that she lost some posters wrote this kind of things about her brother coach etc etc but we know that she would not change her coach, point. she is an irregular player so she did pretty well in wimbledon reaching the third round but did bad in the us open losing in the first round.
sometimes you win and another you lose, that is tennis and that is life.
i agree that she should not have to lose this kind of matches but looking at the score-information that Flushing posted it shows how irregular is she..

better luck in doubles.
flushing did you talk to her or something?any player/lover was on court watching her playing?what about magda skill big serve and big forehand right¿

Ya. I was really surprised about her. She has a huge serve and an awesome forehand as well as she's really fast, so she's pretty good. Gisela was just like passing the ball to the other side of the court and Rybarikova took advantage of all those opportunities she had. It was like Gisela didn't know how to play Magda until she began playing her real game: hitting the ball really hard with her forehand and finishing the point with a volley or with an opening forehand. But she was missing a looot with all her shots

I couldn't talk to her because Kirilenko and Paszek were playing an amazing match on the next court so when she the match was finishing I was so pissed off that I left the grade and went to cheer for Makiri (who actually lost too)

If I'm lucky enough I'll watch Gisela's doubles match tomorrow as it's in court 9. Unfortunately Del Potro is playing at the same time so I don't know what I'm gonna do. But as they're playing a WC couple (Americans) and Peschke and Stubbs (seeded no. 2) lost today I think Gise and MEC have pretty nice chances.

Cya! :wavey:

I just think it was one of those matches that she wasn't dialed into. The girl she lost to Magdalena Rybarikova crushed Tamira Paszek 6-1, 6-2 so it shows is playing well.

As for the outfit it looked great but then again Gisela always looks good on court. My camera battery ran out but I do have some pictures from her practicing and will post then this evening or tomorrow. I think her and MEC have a great chance to get to the 3rd round at least in doubles, but one match at a time and a win today will help Gisela's confidence

Basta decirles que mientras miraba el partido unos yankies atras mio (hinchas de Coco) decian "Dulko and Camerin are really good, they beat Black and Huber last year".

How can she hit things like that? I can't understand it" (traducido: Como puede tirar cosas asi?

Saludos! :wavey:

US Open - Doubles Second Round

Erakovic/Kostanic Tosic (NZL/CRO) def. Camerin/Dulko (ITA/ARG) 6-4 6-3

It's a real pitty. I mean Marina and Jelena beat seeded number two in first round but Gisela and MEC played so well yesterday that I thought they were going to make the third round. Unfortunately they are defending third round points so...
