The 2nd round wins over Top 10 players by these 2 girls is really a sign that a new generation of young women players is arriving to maturity.

Urszula and Anastasia were top juniors in 2007, it has only taken 2 years for both of them to notch up their first Top 10 wins, in the same week, both Svetlana and Jelena will be less happy with their respective defeats.

All Top 100 girls have potential to beat Svetlana and Jelena at this moment. Not really surprising for me that former Top juniors beat them.

I'm sure Urzula would have lost in qualies if she hadn't got her WC.

She would lose to Mathilde perhaps... if it was on fashion runway ;)

A top 10 win over her sister still counts. This is her second top 10 win in her last three tournaments :) Great sign from Ula. And I doubt she would've lost in qualifying as in her previous 3 events that she had to qualify she did so 2 of those 3 times and made it to the final round of qualifying at the AO. Her record so far this year is 12-5 with her 3 wins this week. That's a pretty good number for Ula at this point in the season.

I see a big future for Nastya
So do I, if she keeps her weight down and continues to progress in her game, despite her young age (17 years old, 18 in July) I think that she is doing remarkably well, regular progression over the last 12 months.

Here is her Ranking position Graph :

and her WTA Points Graph :

Her excellent results at Indian Wells (already in the QFs) will all be a bonus, this time last year she was playing (and winning) US$25K tournaments, so we can expect a big leap in her ranking next week.

With a 2nd Top 10 win in the QF A. Pavlyuchenkova d. A. Radwanska 76(8) 64 (Agnieszka is WTA #10 this week) Anastasia will try to beat a 3rd Top 10, Ana Ivanovic is #5.

I think that their is a pretty good chance that Anastasia can reach the finals.
