Glad to know Daja will be playing. I met her in Perth, 14th Hopman Cup, she was so nice to me. Can't wait to meet her in Pattaya. Alicia will be bach this year.

Three former champions will also be here.
2002 winner Angelique Widjaja
1997 winner Henrieta Nagyova

Tammy also said that she talked to Maria Sharapova(RUS) during in Japan Open. She said Maria probably will be playing here but it's not comfirmed yet.

She and her coach told me they intended to go :) .
Lina's withdrawn from here
sorry Jiro, she won't be returning

too long a season.
Too long a season? Is that really the reason?
Since August 17th, Lina has played three matches.
That's 3 matches in 40 days between the finals in Toronto and the first round in Moscow.

last yr Lina didn't have an off season apart from a 10 day break as she finished in Mid-December (cos she played an ITF cos her rank was really down), then a few days off before flying to OZ.
stopping after Linz gives her about 2 months off (that could change if she plays Fed Cup, but thats not likely)
