Blick has an article about the injury and a after surgery pic of Martina *she's smiling of coarse*. She had surgery on Sunday because her ankle was swelling so badly they didn' t want to wait. Her surgery took 2 hrs and it ws very difficult according to the surgeon. She tore two ligaments and the cap. She will be in the hospital for about 3 more days. GET WELL MARTINA!!!

Well there was also an interview with her in the "Sportpanorama".

She said, that she feels still a bit groggy after the operation but she feels good. She also said that in some bad things you can also find some positive things. Meaning that she now has to rest and take care for herself for at least 6 weeks before she's allowed to use her foot again. That may give her the break she really needed.

Ooohh, just look at Marti's smile! She's so strong! And have journalists interviewing her so soon is just great! Now that we know that Marti really is feeling fine, we can now relax! <IMG SRC="smilies/wavey.gif" border="0">

She already left the hospital. Now she has to rest her foot. And will slowly start with a therapy to keep the musels in her foot. She'll start with slight exercises for her foot for abotu an hour a day. From next week on she should already be able to walk without crutches. But she'll need a lot of patience till she'll be fully recovered. But her Doc is optimistic that she might be back in January!!
