IF they were to partner up in the GS, which current ATP and WTA would be the most unstoppable.

WIMBLEDON: Venus Williams/Pete Sampras
runnerup: Lindsay Davenport/ Patrick Rafter

I think that Martina and Jenn didn´t win because they were so much more into singles - they would have won everything if playing 100%

If you consider the fact that Hingis/Seles won against the Williams´ and Stubbs/Raymond at the AO, it shows with how much fun you can play in the beginning before giving a walkover to your opponent concentrating on singles ; if Martina and Jenn would have been keen on that US title they´d have won

I doubt that Stubbs/Woodbridge is the team to beat ; Luke Jensen once said that if you are thrown against top singles players like Sampras f.e. you are so surprised about his play concerning the fact that you only know doubles specialists of concentrating on playing there that you totally surprised by the power and match play of singles protagonists

I think that Sampras would do good in doubles, f.e. with Lindsay

Don't laugh, but I seriously think a Lleyton Hewitt & Martina Hingis team could dominate a mixed doubles Grand Slam season. For the reasons that doubles is not strictly a power game, but a test of agility, finesse, angles, rallies and exchanges. Moreso, than banging the crap out of the tennis ball. The object is to get as many first serves into play as possible and to divide and conquer. With their wiles put together, Hewitt & Hingis would be able to outmaneuver the strongest teams. I can definitely see these two outdoing the strongest male and female tandem.

kournikova/mirnyi ....theyve already done it and really they are two of the best doubles players in the world. very attractive team as well. i think they should get married.
hewitt/hingis would be a good team i think, im not laughing. theyve both had doubles success and are good all court games. recently, did you see hewitt vs ferrero in sydney? whenever ferrero would bring him to the net hewitt would make magnificent plays ( ) but i give him credit. he won the us open with max m as well. and of course hingis certainly isnt lacking in any way is she?

I would actually go for players who has the following;

1. Good serve
2. Good volley
3. Long reach
4. Good return

You dont have to be a runner to cover the court well in doubles. you just needs good hands with long reach and coordination with co players. Of course goodserve is another factor and great returns for the volleying player not to treat your service return as a piece of cake.

this all go with Lindsay.

So Lindsay/Mirnyi would be great and unstoppable.
