well...i don't know about the answers.
But, as soon as she's starting to have guys comin'round she will lose it as a top player.
When she got f---ed by a guy, that's when she would lose it all!

Hey, she's 17, it's an age where most of the girls made it so there's no problem. Justine is married, Kim has Lleyton, Venus and Serena are dating men, Matina H used to have a new boyfriend every month. But they all play or played great tennis.

Don't be jealous, lol.

1.) Under the AER (Age Eligibility Rule) in place, Maria is only allowed to play a maximum of 13 tournaments (not including the Grand Slams or Year-end Championships). She can also technically apply to the WTA to play 1 more tournament, if approved. Once she turns 18 though, she won't be subject to the AER anymore, and can play as many tournaments as she likes. :)

2.) Haven't you heard? That "special someone" is a "girlfriend"!

Thanks for your answer for question 1. I thought the AER was 17. I guess the WTA could find the rule questionnable since Maria won a GS?

For question N°2 I read this rumour in the MaSha Forum. Might be but maybe not.

What about this one Q. Andy or Roger, who do you think would make the perfect date for tomorrow's ball?

MARIA SHARAPOVA: I think both of them have a girlfriend, no?

Masha seems to regret it, lol.

That's still more than 1 a month plus slams - more than enough I would have thought if you want to prevent burn-out.

The special someone is Martina Navratilova. I seriously doubt Navratilova is Maria's gf, but if she were then it would explain the coyness, giggles and unwillingness to reveal a name. On the other hand it could be the other Martina, which would make sense given their recent off-court closeness.

I think we should stop these rumours. One never know how far this might go.

It's funny how Maria never mentioned the gender of the "special someone" yet the media naturally assume it's a guy or a boyfriend. I've already read several articles speculating about the "special someone" and all of them believe it is a male. For all we know, it could be a female childhood friend, a cartoon character, her favourite doll or even a pet. It could be something or someone embarrassing to her, hence why she wouldn't give him or her a name. Or possibly someone she doesn't even know... yet, but wished she did. It could be a pop star like Justin Timberlake or a politician like Boris Yeltsin. It's funny how the media thinks. Romance sells.

The "special someone" has to be:

1. Someone she feels she needs to mention. There is a strong link.

2. Someone who she is fearful of naming in public. Because that person is either

a) someone very important in tennis or the world (Putin, Bush, Pam etc)

b) someone she wishes to keep anonymous (boyfriend, girlfriend, neighbour, ballboy)

c) someone who shouldn't be seen to be helping her (other player, other player's coach, top official)

d) The man who gave her her bionic eye and arm implants
