I felt suddenly quite wildly happy.
Tennis Tipping 44a – 珠海, CHN
2018 was once again a thrilling year on the TT Tour. And while the best of the best is battling it out for the last time in Singapore, we turn to the final WTA Event: the ELITE TROPHY where the best of the rest, the players and teams ranked from 9 to 20 will be hoping for some last minute glory on the tour. With an expected mix of former greatest stars who missed out on Singapore and newbies playing their first ever year-end championships, the ELITE TROPHY will most certainly be an exciting event.
Located just above the city of Macau, Zhuhai will be home of this event for the fourth consecutive year.
What is Tennis Tipping?
OK, you didn't make it to Singapore, but if you end up the year in the top 20, you should know by now what the rules of the game are.
This tournament however, is slightly different as it will be a Round-Robin event.
All players/team will be placed in 4 groups of 3, with each team facing each other over the course of three days. The player/team that doesn't play on a specific day must however send for that day as well, as it can count in case of a tie at the end of the Round Robin section of the draw. The winner of each group will be determined as follow: Whoever won his/their two matches will be the winner of the group. If each player/team finishes with one 1 and 1 loss, the player/team with the highest score (Picks, then SR if necessary) over the three days will advance.
The four teams who won their respective groups will go to the Semi Finals.
The controversial rule specifying that if a player/team in the Semi-Final doesn't send he/they will be replaced by the second player/team from the same round robin group will apply here like last year. Unlike last year however, whining about this rule will not be permitted. If you disagree with this rule, feel free to go play a challenger instead.
The 8 teams who lost in the round robins will have the opportunity to compete in a consolation draw. This event is however unofficial and will not count towards either the rankings nor thet stats of the said players/teams. (but it's the last time you can pick players you actually have seen play so enjoy it!)

How to Sign-Up:
Zhuhai can only be entered upon invitation. Participation can either be confirmed in this thread or by replying the Invitation PM. Alternates will also be invited to join in case some of the players do not enter, do not send, or end up entering Singapore as Alternates.
How to send in picks:
Picks can be sent in as soon as the draws are ready. Remember, you pick a winner in every match! Picks should be sent by PM, so that your opponent does not know your picks. Picks should be titled: [TT: Name of the tournament, day #]. Picks can be sent in anytime until the beginning of play each day. If you are in singles and doubles then you can use different picks for each if you want to. For doubles, you still tip the WTA singles matches, not the doubles! No changes can be made after the play has started.
You have to send picks before play starts, late picks won´t be accepted!
