People say basketball players are the fittest athletes in the world. Not necessarily. Take a look at a starter like Kobe. He plays maximum only 48 minutes per game with a 15 minute half time break. He also gets coaching and help from teammates. The rest average only 30 minutes per game at most while everyone sits on the bench most of the game. Whats more NBA players play indoors in nice air conditioning arenas which is big difference from playing tennis outdoors in the heat or cold as y’all know by experience how excruciating that is. Tennis players play everyday, outdoors and most of the time they have to play twice in a day in challengers and satellites. Matches average 1 ½ hours with no half time breaks and no coaching or help from anyone.
As for track and field, they have it easy. They spend of their time in training BY THEMSELVES.
Tennis players actually go out and bust their balls and guts go head to head with someone just about everyday in ACTUAL MATCHES
Expending themselves physically and MENTALLY and that is where the damage is.
