Bovina is 13?
I'd like to see 13 Russian seeds at the 2006 US Open.
And 20 in the main draw.

Russia has so many good female tennis players. But will any of them become truly great tennis players? That is the question.

No change in the national ranking in Russia. Good result for Anastassia Rodionova who's up 13 spots in the world ranking as finalist in Mount Gambier-Australia 25K$ challenger.

Elena Bovina being #62 shows how important it is to stay healthy.
I was certain she was going to be top 10 in 2005

18.Alina Jidkova (121)
19.Anastasia Rodionova (140)
20.Lioudmila Skavronskaia (174)

Nadia Petrova took the 2nd place to Elena Dementieva due to new ranking system (with 25 tournements played, she's the 2nd to have played 25 tournements or more in the Top 10!)
Vera Zvonareva is back in the russian Top 10 (up 2 spots). She's up 11 places in the world ranking as runner up in Auckland Tier IV $145K (loosing to french n°27 Marion Bartoli).
Veteran Tatiana Panova in down 2 spots with an early loss in the Auckland qualies whereas she was 3rd seed, she fall to Jessica Kirkland (n°188). In 2005, she was Quater finalist...that's the reason why she lost points.
