Just another interesting fact to add to the board:

33 countries are represented in the Top 100 WTA rankings. Counting the number of Top 100 ranked players per country produces the following list of Top 10 Countries by Representation:

1) USA 16 players in Top 100
2) ESP 10
3) RUS 9
4) GER 6
4) ITA 6
6) FRA 5
6) SVK 5
8) CZE 4
8) SUI 4
10) ARG 3
10) CRO 3
10) SLO 3

An average ranking points for those players by country is:
1) USA 1726
2) SUI 1378
3) ITA 901
4) ESP 824
5) RUS 798
6) FRA 795
7) SVK 741
8) CZE 667
9) SLO 567
10) GER 512
11) ARG 489
12) CRO 471

***Interesting side note: Belgium only has 2 players in the Top 100 but both are in the Top 10 players in the world. Their current average of 3343 points would firmly place them at the top of the list.

That does appear to be the case. Although technically any country in the Top 100 has produced quality ;).
