Im surprised that she entered Dubai
I think she better drop Dubai off and rest well to be ready to compete at Indian Wells and Miami. I think its her best chance to win the 2 tier I's. She was played in her top performance at her last 3 tournaments, her confidence is great, and i think it very silly to be exhausted and face an early loss in Dubai. And more ridiculous if she injured herself with that crazy scheduling (she was injured too many times).

She's not playing Indian Wells;)
But I agree she's playing too much right now!
ditto ;)

I should add that she stated that she didn't see the point in flying back to switzerland to train only to fly right back to Doha

I'm still not happy about her decision to play this week :help:

yes a little bit afraid about her "too much of tennis"but she is really experienced now,she knows her body very well,if she decided to play dubai its because she thinks that she will be able to win couple of matchs there. And Dubai organisators perhaps has seduced her with great presents :D

Amelie had the best "I luv Dubai". Everytime I hear Dubai I think of Amelie so it's only fitting that she plays there :) She is incredibly fit and she won't have to start until wednesday. Nothing to worry about.

I have been thinking that too for a while. I think she is playing Dubai AND Doha too. 4 straight weeks. Doha has a weaker field, bar a low ranked hingis - so perhaps she'll cope.

She probably didn't expect to be doing THIS well, and so thought she'd have time in between. But you never know, if all goes well, she could rack up all 4 titles - although her body may get a little weaker, her confidence may carry her though.

All the best to her. I just hope that if she does lose, it doesn't send her into mental fragility - though it probably won't now that she has won EVERYTHING!!!

Keep going Amelie.

she won't start until Thursday. I'm sure the money was probably huge so she thought, why not. And Amelie never has played Indian Wells in the past, so i doubt she's going there this year, and she'll have a good two weeks of rest during that time.

Pardon - i mean't she has all the major titles to her name that tennis players want when they are starting out.

That is, she as won the YEC, A grand slam, Fed cup, been number one, Tier ones ... that kind of thing.

She played lasy tear, and lost to Linetskaya in i think her first match there. I just think it'd be worth while going - considering she can only gain points. But we'll see how dubai goes.

A-me-lie for Num-Ber 1!!!! *\o/*

I guess she wants to capture the top position again and why not? Others have done the same thing. She's playing well and healthy, therefore she should make use of the opportunities as they are presented. You never know about the future, therefore if she is not fatiqued she should go for it.

and if she does it again,i guess that now nobody will say "number 1 BUT she is a slam-less number 1".....isn t it? :)

You are absolutely correct. Four consecutive wins and counting, including YEC and a major is well deserving of the top position in my book. It's winning that counts for me not merely semis and finals. Good luck to Momo and her fans!

I'm a little surprised that ame is playing dubai, i don't want to criticise her because she knows the limits of her body, however i do think it is silly scheduling by ame considering all the injuries she has had she usually is a much smarter scheduler than this, i know she's chasing the no1 ranking and she deserves it, i just think she's playing too many weeks in a row. At the minute the only player who can beat amelie is herself, and i would hate to see her get injured.
