I really believe God smiled on the Williams family in the past few months. Although he saw fit to take Yetunde to be with Him, I think it was a blessing in disguise that V and S had those injuries that kept them off the tour recently. I'm sure that the whole family had plenty of time to be together the past two months, time they wouldn't have had if V and S had been playing tennis. They were all together at Wimbledon also. We as people take our time that we spend with our family for granted and we should appreciate and enjoy the times we have with them because tomorrow is not promised to us.

Doesn't matter that you went to church...It's what is in your HEART and how God's changed that...

I know you mean this very well but I doubt God makes people injured to that they can spend time with somebody who will die soon. that sounds cruel imho :eek:
maybe God could better have avoided both :eek:

sorry I had to get this out of me

nice post, when i lost my grandmother, i could not help but think of the old black baptist hymn, i'll fly away.

verse goes a lil somthin like:

i'll fly away oh lord, i'll fly away, when I die hallelugia by and by, oh I'll fly away.

it showed me that soon, i will be able to see her again. i just have to stay focued, and be of the world, and not in the world. keep god first and believe. this is why I know w/out a doubt that the Williams family is doing fine. They understand the lords doing, they understand I know they really do. again this is a tryin time for the, but there is anothe song i love, called "through it all"

goes like this

through it all, i've learnd to trust in jesus, I've learned to trust in god. through it all, through it all, i've learned to depend upon his word.

the bible tells you about death. it really gives you and understanding. The Williams Family is a church oriented family, and they know what they are going through. they will get through it. Lets just keep them up in prayer.

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling,
Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.

Come home, come home,
You who are weary, come home;
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading,
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies,
Mercies for you and for me?

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing,
Passing from you and from me;
Shadows are gathering, deathbeds are coming,
Coming for you and for me.

O for the wonderful love He has promised,
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon,
Pardon for you and for me.
