 The devil awaits in the second round. Either that or Fish, and I don't know which is worse, because I can't even imagine the disgust I would feel if he lost to Fish. :help:

Coria vs Feliciano

Guille has been eating Feliciano for breakky, lunch and dinner recently
now its hard courts
Coria of course has no brains and has no idea of how to tank a match on clay so he's basically gonna arrive about less than 18 hours before he plays  :haha:

So
hasn't pulled out of TMS Canada yet, eh? Wonder if he's going to pull an IW and pull out at the last minute, since he so hates travelling out of the country

N Davydenko (RUS) vs WC F Dancevic (CAN)
F Santoro (FRA) vs J Acasuso (ARG)
WC S Larose (CAN) vs 13 G Kuerten (BRA)

10 J Novak (CZE) vs M Ancic (CRO)
R Stepanek (CZE) vs J Blake (USA)
Y Kafelnikov (RUS) vs Q Qualifier
M Youzhny (RUS) vs 8 R Schuettler (GER)
Meanwhile, he's got a nice cushy draw. The match vs Guga would be interesting if it ever came off (and looks like a pretty good chance of that since Guga has improved on hardcourts since his surgery).

J Nieminen (FIN) vs D Nalbandian (ARG)
T Henman (GBR) vs 14 F Gonzalez (CHI)
Damn damn damn! :fiery: Jarkko vs Nalbandian, then Gonzo. UGH! He has a horrible record vs Gonzo this year and now that it's on faster courts I fear the worst :fiery:

12 S Schalken (NED) vs M Zabaleta (ARG)
Q Qualifier vs Q Qualifier
PH Mathieu (FRA) vs Q Qualifier
F Lopez (ESP) vs 7 G Coria (ARG)
It would be nice to see Sjeng come out of this 8th. He certainly has a chance with all those clay players. Schalken vs Lopez would be quite a match :)

5 L Hewitt (AUS) vs Q Qualifier
M Philippoussis (AUS) vs M Mirnyi (BLR)
WC D Nestor (CAN) vs R Ginepri (USA)
A Martin (ESP) vs 11 P Srichaphan (THA)
Ahahahaha!! Potato's lower seeding certainly didn't help him very much. Scud or Mirnyi in the second round, then Ginepri or Paradorn in the third  All followed by a possible date with Federer in the quarterfinal. I'll bet he'll be sorry for not playing enough before this . . . .

G Gaudio (ARG) vs 3 R Federer (SUI)
Can Federer finally win his first match in the summer TMSes?

6 A Roddick (USA) vs X. Malisse (BEL)
A Calleri (ARG) vs JI Chela (ARG)
Q Qualifier vs I Ljubicic (CRO)
F Vicente (ESP) vs 9 S Grosjean (FRA)
 The drawmakers' odds certainly look good for Roddick to continue his good streak in Canada, but who knows what two weeks of previous play will have done to him. Like his contemporary (
) definitely got an easy draw.

15 M Verkerk (NED) vs S Sargsian (ARM)
K Kucera (SVK) vs JM Gambill (USA)
Y El Aynaoui (MAR) vs M Fish (USA)
Q Qualifier vs 2 JC Ferrero (ESP)
Despite my fellow Ferreroans' fears about Younes :fiery::fiery: looming in the second round, I think Ferrero also got a rather nice section here. Too bad he couldn't leave Sopot before today; a well-rested (and injury-free) Ferrero would have a pretty good shot at another quarter here. Guess we'll see what toll that plane trip and his finger woes have on him.

Gee, did they really want Andre here that badly that they offered him just about every Canadian in the draw?
 What a nasty surprise that awaits RF! After she wished Agassi to win Cincy since I'll be there

All I can say is, thank God Henman's doing well this week in Washington because that draw... when you draw the two players that you lost to in both of last year's summer Masters events, Gonzalez and Nalbandian, luck is not on your side.

Schalken definitely has chances, but he's very lucky that Coria will be coming off three straight weeks of play and most likely three straight titles; if he makes it to the third round, he may well be so exhausted that Sjeng can find a way through that match to the quarters. If both were fully rested, I wouldn't expect my player to emerge the victor...

Federer v Gaudio - should be OK, since Gaudio I believe has lost in the first round in Canada the last couple of years, and he beat him at Gstaad on clay. But then a potential meeting with Rusedski... Federer would certainly have the crowd on his side, but that's a tricky match-up on a fast court. We all know the players Rusedski beat during the summer season last year: Safin, Haas and Hewitt, the world's Top 3 back then.
