The first set was competitive until 3all, i was down 40-15 on Maria's serve and broke back for a the lead held, and broke serve to take the set. I got up a break in the second early for a 2love lead. My returns clicked in the second set and the games went by faster. I hit a lot of forehand winners, which was odd, i love hitting backhand winners. Sharapova matched my pace was even better but i stayed on the baseline.
