WOW, I knew Escude would be tough. Everyone underestimates him, but he is very consistent, great groundies, and is VERY fast for a tall person. Congrats to Nicolas, too bad for Lleyton!
Agree with AlexSydney!! I don't mind Pat to win, but Lleyton.... Hooray!!! Beaten by Nicolas twice this year on grass court!!!
What I can't stand is actually the stupid aussie TV commentators!! They talked about some stupid statistics like "Who is the World No.1 that has been beaten on the 1st day in Davis Cup history?" And the statistics showed up there were Courier, Wilander and McEnroe.... But what are they actually trying to do with those statistics?? Trying to comfort themselves that Lleyton is not the only No.1 being beaten in a Davis Cup final??? And make him doesn't look that bad??? Those stupid commentators even said, "Well, ranking doesn't mean anything in Davis Cup!!!" I wonder what happened if Lleyton won that match, I bet those stupid commentators will say, "Oh.. look.. it has proven that Lleyton is the real No.1 and nobody can beat him!!!"
I don't like Lleyton becoz' of his court attitude and always making stupid remarks!! But the Aussie TV commentators made him look even worse, always trying to defend him and exaggerate the goods about Lleyton (Of coz'.. to me.. I don't find much except he has a good defensive play!!)
Wow.... I am just so happy to see Lleyton lost today!!!
hmm... well I'd like to remove my foot from my mouth (I predicted that Hewitt would win both his singles, with some trouble from Escude), and say congrats to Escude for doing something Hewitt did earlier this year... beating the number one player on his home turf.
Good for Rafter for pulling through with a much needed victory as well.
As I said before... I hope this tie goes to the fifth rubber
