Vera Zvonareva hit a forehand return. The Russian hung tough with Williams early in the first set.

Vera Zvonareva's changeover routine - a towel over her head to keep focus - was in use in the final. :lol:

Serena Williams rejoiced after capturing her fourth Wimbledon and 13th overall Grand Slam title.

Serena Williams met Vera Zvonareva at the net after improving to 6-1 lifetime against the Russian.

Vera Zvonareva rebounded quickly from the loss to enjoy her first Grand Slam finalist prize.

Vera Zvonareva won her 11th WTA title, first since Pattaya City a year and two weeks before.

Vera Zvonareva scored her third career win over a reigning No.1, but first in straight sets.
