After blowing set-point in the first set and failing to serve for the second set and going down a break in the third, Kim rallies and wins 5 games in a row to stay no.1 in the world.

Anyone who still thinks that Justine has reached level on hardcourts, just re-watch this match. Still ways to go..
You must be happy that a tie in tennis does not exist. This was clearly a "win-win" situation for you.

kim wins: --> justine isn't that good on hardcourt, ...
justine wins: --> kim could not handle the pression again, too defensive, not there at the big moments, ...

The only thing i know is that after us open, you were so rude against kim, even saying or insinuating justine is by far the better player, even on hard courts.
Now, with this one loss against kim in months, suddenly justine isn't that good on hardcourts, and kim does can handle pressure...

All i can say, is you change your opinion every two steps, just to make sure that you can bash one of the belgians...

What a great expert you are

I can't agree more.

This and the fact that she's great indoors. If the end of the year would have been on clay, who knows what would have happened?
yeah who knows...but the end of the year isn't on clay.

if the end of the year was on clay, then would the indoor season be in March?? Kim would just get her points then...
:bounce: congrats Kim!!! :bounce:

wrong, wrong! This match doesn´t prove a thing! Kim already showed that she can´t handle pressure matches...yet! If you think winning Filderstadt proves that she can handle pressure, than you haven´t been watching the GS´s.

And I already knew that Justine isn´t good on hardcourts. Who did she really beat on hardcourts?! Yeah, she won the Open....but as said above beating Kim at a GS isn´t THAT difficult.

You are so right Schalckske. It's always something if Justine wins and they find excuses. And if Kim wins against Justine there they are again!
It's hard, but Justine is the better player this year. Not today, but in general! Good luck Juju next week and at the masters!

She was playing to keep her no1 ranking. That is pretty big thing. I know Filderstadt is a poor tournament that no-one really cares about in comparison to the slams, but keeping a number 1 ranking is pressure.

As for saying J.H-H didnt beat anyone on hard courts this yr - wasnt she unbeaten? Therefore she probably played every player who is decent.

Really?! A bunch of Russians, got a choke-job by Jen and then Kim " no show at GS finals" Clijsters....not THAT difficult thing to do.

No one is saying that Justine hasn´t learn to play on hardcourts...but look at her last two weeks and you can say that there´s still some room there....it ain´t like on clay.

well:

* there's by far more pressure in a match like today ( defending #1, on kims best surface, against her direct opponent on justines worst ) than in a semi final on grass against venus (where almost everybody agrees the williams are the better players on grass). If you fail to see this than i can't help you, i'm sorry.

*Who did she beat on hardcourt you say:
1) Jennifer, the choker, the one who is not fit enough
2) Kim, the choker who doesn't perform at the big moments

on the other hand, if serena beats jennifer, jennifer suddenly isn't that bad.
and if serena beats kim, kim becomes suddenly the #1 player

So you're basically saying that there are no decent players out there apart from the Williams sisters? Yes Jen choked and yes kim didnt turn up but give some credit to Justine, she's improved alot this yr and she still had to beat them.
GREAT WIN KIM!!!!!:woohoo:

Yeah, there was pressure today.....but you can´t really compare this pressure with the pressure of FINALLY winning a GS. Two different things...Kim knew deep down that she should have won a slam by now. She is 20 years already and plus the fact that she gonna become no.1 without a slam...couldn´t handle it.

You think that if it was against Serena that Jen would have even gotten in the POSITION to serve for the match?! It´s been a LOOONNGG time ago that Jen has been in that position.

I don´t really worry about Serena beating Kim, she has always done it anyways! And L.A. is starting to look more and more like a fluke.

It isn´t me...LOOK at the summer events the last four/ five years! All Williams, all Williams! Ain´t lying. Heck look at ALL hardcourt events where the sisters play regularly....it´s all Williams.

They are the cream of crop....the others are good too, but they aren´t as elite as the Williams on hardcourts.
Did anyone figure out it was a 3 setter? LMAO!
I would not be surprise if JHH pulls out of her tournament next week for some fake ailment. If she plays next week she will lose again. She is off the juice and is having a hard time keeping up.

She's looking knackered. She shud just play the champs now, the no1 ranking can wait.

Hmm....interesting to note that since that talk came-out her results haven´t been the same. I wonder what´s going on there?! Or is it something I knew all the time: She just CAN´T play on surfaces besides clay.

Back at the moment of usopen final, there was a lot of pressure, i will not deny that. But now, with all what has happened afterwards ( being number 1 while having no slams, people saying that there are at least 2 players better, negative h2h's against williams and justine) i would say there was much much more pressure today, and you know what, kim won today. ( seems like she does can handle the pressure)

If kim or justine win a tournament, it's a fluke. If serena or venus win a tournament, then they're the greatest of all players.
If kim or justine lose a tournament, they show that they are vulnarable and not that strong. If serena or venus lose a tournament, they were injured, they weren't motivated, they were tired, etc etc

If kim or justine beat jennifer, she's not fit enough, she's a choker, ...
If serena of venus beat jennifer, she's a top player with several GS under her belt
As i said before: great tennis expert you are :worship:
