Kim is my fave but I accept the fact that Justine will overtake the #1 ranking soon and they may even swap it back and forth a few times.Nemesis said:Well, congrats Kim. She's the best indoors. Justine is at her worst indoors lately.
I only saw the end of the 2nd and whole the third set. Justine made tons of errors from then on, but Kim played almost flawless.
Justine not yet number oneBut her time will come. If not next week, then after the Masters or next year.
If Kim played like this in the US final she would have won. Justine is not all that on hard courts.bandabou said:Anyone who still thinks that Justine has reached level on hardcourts, just re-watch this match. Still ways to go..
Exactly....odd, how this time she finally found the guts to go for her shots..Jen'sFan said:If Kim played like this in the US final she would have won. Justine is not all that on hard courts.
bandabou, what a title for this thread.bandabou said:After blowing set-point in the first set and failing to serve for the second set and going down a break in the third, Kim rallies and wins 5 games in a row to stay no.1 in the world.
Its also late in the season, and the body and mind cannot continue to perform as well as during the peak times of the season. I think this is a fluke win for Kim.bandabou said:Anyone who still thinks that Justine has reached level on hardcourts, just re-watch this match. Still ways to go..
Erhm...it's as late in the season for Justine AS for Kim. Kim played much more this year than Justine and even played doubles so don't look for childish excuses.Ballbuster said:Its also late in the season, and the body and mind cannot continue to perform as well as during the peak times of the season. Sorry folks. I 'm not too fond of Justine either, but until Kim can start beating her between March - September, its just a lucky win.
There's not only the ammount you play, it's more about the ammount you can bear! Kim played a lot too the previous year, but she was by far the fittest at the Masters while Justine, Serena & almost the whole rest of the tour were almost burned out ... BTW Justine already played 5 more matches this year than in 2002 (76 to 71).ans said:Erhm...it's as late in the season for Justine AS for Kim. Indeed, Kim is the fitter player. If the others are not able to make it a complete season, then Kim proves why she is number one.Nemesis said:There's not only the ammount you play, it's more about the ammount you can bear! This and the fact that she's great indoors. If the end of the year would have been on clay, who knows what would have happened?ans said:Indeed, Kim is the fitter player. If the others are not able to make it a complete season, then Kim proves why she is number one.
Precisely spending the offseasons running the sand dunes in Adelaide with lleyton pays off fitness wiseans said:Indeed, Kim is the fitter player. If the others are not able to make it a complete season, then Kim proves why she is number one.
