Watching Sujeong in purple against Lukas in Astana right now. The Korean looking superb :hearts:

And by the way can the mods perhaps make this a sticky thread? @Michael!
I love Sujeong :). But just as last week she was giving me headache against Lukas today cause this match should have been over way earlier. She has a chance to reach b2b finals in doubles here as well later on.

Always hate it when one match spoils all of my hopes for a tournament :sobbing:

Had Zhibek and Martyna consolidated that 1-3 lead, they would've went to the final, I reckon. Then it would've been a perfect win-win doubles final in Astana for me. It's a shame because the singles final is a DREAM final for me, as well.

At least, it's NasTik though :)

18 year old Ana Candiotto from Brasil winning the doubles in Antalya for the third week in a row :gottago:She's only played 5 doubles tournaments in her senior career.

For some reason, she's also pretty popular on Tiktok, she's accumulated a whopping 1.1M likes on that app!

I wonder if you lot also have some ITF players you group together for a particular reason? 🤔

I group Morvayova, Stresnakova and Knutson as the Slav British Indoors Special. Sakellaridi, Sonmez, Kraus and Janicijevic as the Mediterranean Queens. Fung and Inoue as the Cancun Queens. :oh:

Sujeong was rescuing this ITF week for me :cheer: I wonder if we see her somewhere else before she is scheduled to play 25K Kofu.
I thought Li or Ku could win the 15K in France. Even if it was on clay. And Back came so close to winning against eventual titlist Kuzmova in Egypt.
Since Raina led 6-0 3-0 in the final to lose it with a bagel in the third that loss was also pretty painful.

Sunam Jeong is back in action in Indonesia this week 😍 I wish she would play a full schedule. I always thought she was quite talented.
Even last year when she only played 3 tournaments in September she won one of them.
good to see her back indeed 😍

I know it's kind of overkill for Priska to play it but it would be nice for her to play the 15k as a warm-up to the 25k. It's not like she's been iron hot lately and it would be good fanfare for the locals to have a realistic runner in the tourney 🤔

I mean... Kanepi has paved the way

I tend to instinctively group Knutson and Stresnakova with Andre Lukosiute, Joanna Garland and Mariam Bolkvadze because they are all UK based players who compete under another flag.

Jing Jing Lu also back in Indonesia beating Qianhui Tang 6-3 6-2 in R1

Zongyu Li who was playing on clay just last week is also there beating Xinyu Jiang 1-6 7-6 6-4.

Sunam lost against Haruna after successfully qualifying.

Selena has really gone on a downward spiral as of late :tears: She would have succinctly beaten the likes of Robbe, Leonard and Helmi in last year's form, she may have qualified for the AO but I wouldn't have expected it to take such a steep turn.

Maybe hitting up those French 15ks to get some confidence and match play isn't that bad of an idea, eating bakery products from Leonard is not exactly a bright indication. I see she'll be traveling to SA after this, hoping she gets a favorable draw so she can work her way up.

On a more positive note, Deria Nur Haliza won her doubles match against the Arakawas (#200~ range in dubs) :hearts: At least a win for Indonesia!

Ruzic took out the #1 seed, Kuzmova easily. An impressive win. She is up against Chwalin' and then possibly with countywoman, croatian Boskovic. Looks doable, but she is into her 5th match next and my best wishes for her to stay healthy.
HAVLICKOVA had to retire in the third set, not unexpected, she won 7 matches last week to take the title.

Vedder is showing life, into the QF but she is in the same half as Rus, so if she gets up to that level, I have to hope Rus has a bad day.
