That's something indeed in SES, what are the chances as well that all four of them are from rather small countries tennis-wise (we love to see it :oh: )

Same phenomenon in Tucuman as well though I'd say it's less striking than the Korean-Lithuanian one.

Just noticed Yanina is in the SFs of Macon as well, good luck

I'm curious to see where she'll end up settling in the "hierarchy" of Indian tennis players.

So far the top two duo of Karman and Ankita are still untouchable, they're the only two who stand a chance in the international league (not including the yearlong circuits of Turkey and Egypt)

Then we have the likes of Bhosale, Yamalapalli, Desai, Bhatia and Yadlapalli (what happened to her? ) who are all decent enough to go deep in local tournaments but have had slim pickings internationally. To their defense, it's not like they play a lot of them.

It seems like Vai has settled into that second tier though I'm not much optimistic if she'll ever reach the first tier :( but SSR is pretty interesting, she's only 19 years of age and has played I think a total of 4 tournaments professionally yet in two of them she's made the finals.

Peangtarn just lost such a close battle against Abduraimova in Astana. She was leading 4-2 in the third. She's always on the losing end in those tight important matches unfortunately.
Also Na-Lae lost in 2 tight sets. Hopefully Sujeong will do better now.

Lanlana also lost today against Kuwata in Bangalore. Rather dissapointing.
Vaidehi with a great win against Jakupovic. Bhosale also beat the ever slumping Marcinkevica there.

Dabin up 6-2 4-2 on Ogata in Kuching.

Kim still going strong in Malysia but I fear she is losing against Guo once more.
Nice week for Punnin who‘s holding up the Thai flag.

Sujeong had to dig deep two times in a row now and not playing her best but at least she‘s still winning in Astana. Now against Kudermetova the lesser though. Also made the doubles semis just right now in a MTB. She must be exhausted already.

Also always rooting for my home state girl Hobgarski. She‘s about to take the court in France but Bai right now is trying her hardest to choke a 5-1 lead in the third away.

The East Asians have been killing it this week :cheer:

  • 60k Arcadia: Saigo Sisters as Doubles RU
  • 40k Astana: The Koreans as Doubles RU
  • 25k Swan Hill: Taiwan's Jo Garland as Winner and China's Wang Yafan as the RU
  • 25k Toronto: Sakatsume Himeno in the finals
  • 25k Toue les Jours: China's Bai Zhaoxuan and Wei Sijia in the finals, Korea's Ku was in the semifinals
  • 25k Bengaluru: The Misaki Prophecy :oh:
  • 25k Spring: Chinese veteran Lu Jiajing in the SFs of her first tournament back :gottago:
  • 15k SES: Last week's winner Lee Eunhye in the SFs yet again with the pairing of Back - Jeong coming up as Doubles RU
  • 15k Kuching: Well, just see for yourself :lol2:

  • 15k Monastir: Final contested between a Chinese and a Japanese with the Doubles Trophy being taken home by a Chinese-Japanese pairing as well
  • 15k Antalya: Miho Kuramochi in the Singles SFs and Doubles RU

That leaves only 3 out of the 13 tournaments this week that did not have any EA involvement in the business end! Amazing how they were one of the groups most impacted by the tour shutting down then and how high they've bounced back now!

The Law of the ITF Jungle is always so fascinating!

Here you have the utter hopelessness in India's Easwaramurthi who would normally get beaten up like a street rock in India (and everywhere else, really) and semi or quarter hopelessness in Vig and Bhasin yet here they are ROUTINING these South African locals

Yep the only South African who won was playing Seven Oral :oh:
Too bad Fourouclas had to draw García Pérez, she used to be a promising player who retired early. She was a top 100 junior, beating the likes of Sherif and Pigossi and played some W15 finals, I remember her being trashed by Haddad Maia in a W15 final.

Yeah it was a really unlucky draw. Let‘s see if South Africa’s only ranked player can do some damage in the MD.

Nice work, I always forget that VJK is still only 17, feels like she's been around for much longer.
