They both have 18 wins already and get to play the last Round. If they win they will for sure play Sydney. Ai and Maria also have 18 wins, but they do not get to play the final round. Behind them are the other 3. They all have 17, they need to win and then also enter with a better Set W/L record than Ai, Maria and possibly Tamrine and Bethanie. It's a tough shot but they can do it.​

Martina solidifies her spot at the Australian Open. With Bethanie's loss, there is a huge toss-up for the final Sydney spot. She along with Ai, Kirilenko, Sharapova and the possibility of Olga and Jie if they win their match will hope they won in straight sets enough and taken their losses to 3.
