Huge opportunity for our girls here to grab some big points. Nice to see CKP and Taylah back in action.

Nayar reached the QF.

CKP reached the SFs but withdrew before her match and before her and Taylah's doubles final.

Taylah is into the singles final. She'll be ranked around #45 now and around #40 with a win tomorrow. Plays Kinoshita in the final who she defeated last month in the J3 Canberra final.

New rankings:
#35 Kempenaers-Pocz (up 14)
#37 Preston (up 26)
#172 Larke (up 23)
#181 Nayar (up 53)
#214 Taylor (up 15)
#291 Yan (up 65)
#302 Fairclough (up 28)
#377 Rokusek (up 70)
#381 Dong (up 22)
#426 Tsoukalas (up 132)

The girls beat Sri Lanka and Indonesia but lost to Thailand in the group stages. Regardless, they still advance to the final 8 where they play Kazakhstan today.

There is also the WJT qualifiers happening in 2 weeks. Emerson Jones, Tahlia Kokkinis and Diana Badalyan is in the team.

Wow the girls defeated Japan who were the top seeds here :eek2:

Emerson Jones defeated Hayu Kinoshita (#62) 75 76(2)
Lily Taylor defeated Sara Saito (#51) 63 16 62

Awesome wins for the girls defeating some older girls who are much higher ranked! The final is against Thailand now whom they lost to earlier in the week. I'm not sure on the rules but I think 2nd place might be enough for them to qualify for the finals too.
