Chanda arrives in Australia

"I would be disapointed if I don't try my hardest" Those were the words of Chanda Rubin as she was the first player to arrive at the practise courts and hit around with her coach. A journalist and photographer spotted her and she went over there to greet them gracefully as she always does and was free to answer some questions:

Chanda, here you are in Melbourne
Yup! Here I am looking as great as ever *laughs*

So Chanda, rate your chances here in Melbourne
I would say and I don't mean to blow my own horn, that the best possible thing I could do, would be to reach the Semi Finals as I am a top 5 player but not top 2. I may not even get into the Semis, but I have faith that I can do well, I always have taken that low life Sharapova to 3 sets though

Is there anything here in Melbourne you would like to do sight seeeing wise?
Well, naturally I wanna go to a zoo and see some kangaroos, visiting a zoo in every tournament is a ritual of mine and I think I am just gonna go enjoy it! I love it here

Amelie as a rookie !

Amelie Mauresmo of France will make her grand debuts here in the Australian Open for this new season ! The Frenchwoman, coached by John John of Marseille, hopes not feeling too much pressure and play as better as she is able !
She soesn't know yet if she would be able to play the doubles tournament...she hopes so but as she's a new player, she hasn't yet any partners...
Amelie will put all her hopes on her big serve and volley game and on her famous marvelous backhand !
