I don't see either half as all that tough; Kim can consistently beat any players except for the Williams sisters...and Serena has owned Capriati the last few years and owns Henin on any surface other than clay.
In reality, Kim and the Williams sisters are favored to get to the finals in every tournament they enter.

Any idea if Kim and Ai will be in the doubles?

Seeing as Ai is playing here, I don't see why Kim & Ai wouldn't be palying doubles, but I guess they might not because they've got such busy schedules up til the US Open. :)
They have to play doubles this week. If they have better result than Suarez/Ruano Pascual, Kim will be no. 1 in doubles for 1 week. This is her only chance before the end of the year!

She's in the good part of the draw, if she gets through to the SF, I think then she will get it tough, although there are some tough ones before that

Hello to all of you! It's been a while since I posted in the CCL, but here I am again!
It seems like Serena withdrew. What does this mean in terms of the rankings? I know Kim is only some 260 points behind of Serena, but what if she wins the Acura Classic?

it's all over GM: still the same knee injury (tendonitis).

Haven't got a clue rankings wise; I'm not into this calculating stuff, I'll leave that to others ;)
oops sorry, haven't had the time to check GM yet...

thanks for answering my stupid question then :)

To be 1st, Kim have to win the tournament and to beat the highest ranked player (Ruano-Pascual, Shaughnessy, Sugiyama, Davenport and Henin) otherwise, she won't be 1 next week!
