Welcome to Rome! It's the second clay event, leading into Roland Garros. Everyone has to send in points by Monday 11:59 pm. Lindsay Davenport got the #4 seed over Anna Smashnova, because Anna hasn't sent new points in for about three events

PLEASE no walkovers this week :D

still waiting for 3 players points...although I have points from last week with 2 of them :p

Where has Mikey gone? I've sent him private messages? If he doesn't want to play, I wish he would retire

Clijsters was really aggressive today, as Monica was not. Monica, perhaps because she didn't play last week, as not herself. She will have to go for more at Roland Garros if she want to contend in Paris.

A pretty good match for Clijsters/Dementieva, a new dubs team. They really went for their shots at the right times. A tough day for Monica, losing to Kim in both singles and doubles.

Clijsters takes out last weeks winner. The second set was SO close. The last three games, including the tiebreak were decided by cointoss. Clijsters was a perfect example of aggressive at the right times.

Exact same result as last week...because Serena didn't change her #'s. Hopefully she has a game plan for Paris. Elena, with Davenport going down, is the hottest player on clay right now.

Venus is the only seed left...which is surprising. Kournikova really played a good match, Venus was just a tad more aggressive when it mattered.
