Kim is here and hopes for some good tennis

Kim Clijsters looks to get to the semis here in Birmingham after failing to do something in Paris. In doubles though, she is much more confident!"I really think me and Elena can win this title because we work so great as a unit!" Kim faces Serena Williams in the 1st round in singles and in womens doubles Clijsters/Dementieva must try to defeat Hingis/Harkleroad.

A very close match between two very similar players. Cointosses were almost even in the match. Clijsters just game up a little short.

Hingis and Harkleroad were MUCH more aggressive. What works in singles, doesn't always work in doubles.

Hantuchova's expierence pulled her through. Harkleroad showed REAL promise, just has to learn when to go for more, and be consistent in other times

Kournikova let it up, big time. She, much like Seles, has to come up with a game plan. Dementieva wins...again. She has only lost once this year...her first event.
