Tennis Tipping #44a - Zhuhai

What is Tennis Tipping?

In the game, participants pick the winners of all main draw matches and are placed in a knock-out system. That means each participant plays a different participant and whoever predicted the winner of most matches correctly, moves on to the next round. The same applies for doubles, but you're in a team format and your scores are combined.

Note:
- In case of a tie, new SR/TB rules (2017) will decide who moves on to the next round.
New SR/TB rules: TB/SR Rules 2017 (determining the winner) - TennisForum.com

- If players are replaced by a lucky loser after the start of Tennis Tipping, these matches will be cancelled.

How to Sign-Up:

Only invited players can participate in this tournament

How to send in picks:

Picks can be sent in as soon as the draws are ready. Remember, you pick a winner inevery match! Picks should be sent by PM, so that your opponent does not know your picks. Picks should be titled: [TT: Zhuhai - #day]. Picks can be sent in anytime until the beginning of play each day. If you are in singles and doubles then you can use different picks for each if you want to. For doubles, you still tip the WTA singles matches, not the doubles! No changes can be made after the play has started.

You have to send picks before play starts, late picks won't be accepted!

Good Luck, your manager DJDVD.

The first time I saw this rule (a few years ago) I thought it was silly and I still think so. But, good or bad, it's the rule.

Written rules should apply to all players and everyone should respect them, especially board. What is worrying here is that a board member openly stands for a violation of the rules when he needs to be that one who will prevent other players from breaking the rules. It's shocking that someone like him can be in the board, it's so disrespectful to this game. How can we be sure that he will not break the rules on purpose again in the future?

Thank you Randy for your opinion, but it's stupid :weirdo:

It's not our fault because there is this rule, it's not our fault Sander. didn't send, but definitely we deserved more than you to be in that final. Good luck next time and try to pick better TB's :wavey:

congrats @kfh_9118 @Igorche good luck in Next Round , I think nobly you guys shouldn't send for next round to make up for that rule. But that is my Opinion on the win. Up to y'all, still love and respect y'all either way.

@Randy
As I said above a board member should ensure that the rules are used as they are written, so you can't force anyone to not send so you can go to final (by the same rule) because you do not like some rule. I'm playing this game for six years and it never happened that I didn't send mine picks, same as my partner, I will not do it for you.

I never broke the rules, good or bad I always respect them, does not matter whether I win or lose because of them. Tomorrow, if the rules change, I will follow new rules, even if I don't agree with them, I am mature enough to understand that it must be like that.

If board thinks rule is silly why they didn't change it? They had opportunity last off-season. Why you didn't change it?

If this happened to me, I would say "it's a silly rule, but it's a rule and you deserve to win, congrats and good luck in the next round", wouldn't make drama.

Only losers want to win with wo, real champions prefer to win the match.

I knew about this rule, nobody had to remind me.

Others should learn the rules, if not they should not complain.
Henry :hi5:

Sorry coolfish1103/F4CU

Congrats to Ian :worship: it's not easy to beat such a champion like Michael

Thanks to David for great management as usual, really sorry to hear that you are leaving the TT board now
