Dear god, I thought this CAYETANO was a good draw for Olivia after she managed to beat PAREJA in the first round, but apparently no one is easy for her in singles these days. Is this CAYETANO quietly quite good or is it a concerning scoreline ?

Nevertheless, Olivia did manage to come back after her opponent served for the match in the third set and has now won two very long matches in a row so at least coming through these close battles should be good for her confidence and the mental side of things !

She'll play HRUNČÁKOVÁ next, who isn't easy on paper but is also in a rough run of form so it's a decent chance for both of them and hopefully won't be a total sad off.

Gosh I had money on this match. Gadecki couldn't hit through Cayetano, not sure if because she lacks firepower or because she lacks confidence rn. On the other hand Cayetano was winning a lot of easy points just by playing in the corners and exposing Olivia subpar movement. At one point Cayetano was two breaks up, 5-2, in the 3rd set, I gave up and went to sleep thinking wtf did Ash Barty see in Olivia Gadecki? Then I woke up sure my money were gone when I saw she somehow saved two mps and won 5 consecutive games. Must have been some terrible Cayetano's choke because Gadecki didn't have a single break point in 2nd and 3rd set, just to break three times in a row in the very last games.

She played for USC and was ranked in the top 3 in NCAAs.

Cayetano is a sleeper. She has been training with Janice Tjen so I wouldn’t be surprised if she cracks the top 200 next year. She’s been improving since college.
Had a dip after being the number 1 player but she’s playing better now.
