As you probably know, I'm going to the adidas International in Sydney on the 11th of January. This will be Daniela's first tournament of the 2004 season, so I'd like to get her year off to a great start by giving her a really nice gift from the Cocktail Party. I'm aware that some people are planning on spending some time away from the board, but I would like to get their input as well. We have approximately 2 1/2 months in order to find the perfect present for Danielka.

If you have any ideas for gifts, list them in this thread. If you want to send something to me to give to Daniela, PM me and I'll give you my address. Once we have enough ideas, I'll start a poll so that we can vote on a final decision.

I had a chat with Graham about doing something like this a while ago - with the idea of getting her a Nike Visor (like the ones she always wears), with a CP logo on it.

Wasn't sure about the logo (any ideas folks?), but the visors are pretty easy to come by!

It is an orange heart and around it, it says: with love from the Cocktail Party
(so, it's whenever someone from the CP makes the card that I will send the logo - we dont want it going around to people that arent from the CP)

Yeah I had thought about that. Nike would throw a blue-funk...

I know we'd love to see her wearing something from the CP, but there's little chance given her image rights and what not. The idea for the visor is that it's connecting us (the logo) with something we associate strongly with Daniela.

We could always approach Nike and get them on our side!!! :yeah:

Speaking of Babolat is she still sponsored by them, I know she still uses there racquets but she hasn't been using a babolat bag since the middle of the year and has used a nike one instead. I thought that was strange how she changed to that and my friend just made the suggestion that maybe they don't sponsor her anymore and so that is why she is using nike bags but still uses there racquets cause she likes them She is still probably sponsored by them though I think. Babolat racquets are the best both Dani and Kim use them

I went to www.babolat.com and i think that is there official site not to sure but Dani isn't listed as being part of their racket or string teams, so maybe she isn't sponsored by them anymore
If not then they couldn't object to anything you want to put on her racquet

Hey I don't mind you people giving her things at "every" toutnament. But if you decide on another cd and it's as crappy as the last one, I'm gonna kill the person who puts my name on it.. just so you know..

Doesn't her Nike contract say that she can't have any Sanex logos or any other type of logos on her clothes? I thought that's why she does those extra WTA promo days.

She almost certainly wouldn't be able wear a branded visor with any additional logo on it. Branding, endorsements... it's a big deal, but like I said it's something we associate with Dani and it's that sentiment I was thinking of.

I guess the necklace we gave her is kept with a lot of other keep-sakes she gets from her fans. I'm not surprised she doesn't wear it... even if she wanted too.

really? I didnt kno that... I guess that would make sense as to why Daniela never wears anything that has "WTA Tour" on it like the other players... :shrug:

Remember her dog tag and her own necklace... they werent from like NIKE or any sponsor deals... they were jus necklaces that she like to wear.....
