Having already mentioned one or two possible chants/songs we can use to encourage Sveta when we happen to be there watching her live, I thought I would create a new thread to summarise what I've said so far and to encourage any further contributions.

First off, I'll just say that while I was reading the svetlanakuznetsova.tripod.com site I came across a posting on the guestbook/board section that was written last year around the time of the French Open final, apparently she had done a bit of singing and there was a link to a sound-recording of that. Rather amusing as I'm a bit musical myself. Unfortunately the link didn't work for me - it may no longer be there, i.e. have been deleted - and I don't know what the song was, but I'd love to hear Sveta singing! Maybe I should have called this thread "Sveta sings" rather than "Sveta songs"!?
Anyway, my first suggestion for chants was, taking the 1990 hit "This beat is Technotronic..." to chant "Svetlana Kuznetsova" to the same rhythm. Then my next idea was "Tequila!" (the mainly instrumental hit) to be replaced by shouting out "Svetlana!" at the appropriate points (this was while I was going way off-topic in the "Sveta in Paris" thread).
Oh, and we'll know whether Sveta actually reads these posts because, if so, she'll be turning up at Eastbourne with her hair dyed blue (see earlier thread)... I do plan to be there to find out, and of course to give her my vocal support. Then at Wimbledon we can all sing to her "Happy Birthday"... I'm sure with her sense of humour, which I have to admit is rubbing off on me a bit, she'll appreciate it!

Yesterday a few minutes after Svetlana's match was due to start, the Bob Marley song 'One Love' came into my mind... Meanwhile I've had other songs on my mind for which I could re-write the words - maybe later I'll post some Sveta-specific lyrics on here...!

A friend and I (both sveta fans) have made a song for sveta just for fun then I remembered that there was thread about sveta songs so I said lets put our song on the site and lets hear what other people think. we took just a funny song of a cartoon we both watched when we where younger and changed the lyrics. anyway this is it

Forgive me for being ignorant, but I don't know the tune... Anyway, hopefully any Sveta fans going to see her play in the near future can sing this at change-of-ends, and I'm sure she'll be amused... Not long now till she plays in Doha (see separate thread) and Dubai...

well we are planning to make a video of me and my friend singing it and playing on our guitar and send it to her in a letter but we also wanted to go to de academia in the summer and we wanted to also give it to her in case she didnt read the letter and we are also probably are going to berlin
