Also,allez Shiho et Elodie!
Elodie has Nice's 2001 points to defend.I don't understand why she didn't improve much:confused: .I saw her in Roland and she has a very powerfull forehand...but doesn't seem very regular

Yep, Chinese players are doing well so far, n'est-ce pas?

And better watch Li Na too this year who, coming from the qualies, has just won the 75K ITF Midland.

Continuez toutes les deux sur votre lancée !!!

SteveG,what a good French:bounce: !
Where did you learn it?
You can't imagine how frustrated I am not to do this as often I would like on this board, when I'm forced to use the same terms in English:( .
Na Li is a net player,I believe?Ting Li seems also injured as well as Yi!
And what about Shuai Peng?!She was so impressive!

SteveG,what a good French !
Thanks but  I am French  ;) .

Na is not a net player but she can go to the net when needed. No news from Ting.

Shuai Peng will be starting her season soon (thanks to information from Danker).

Have you seen her play already? Where was that?

Actually,I didn't see her,I was talking about her results, especially in the 14-16 years old sections. She won several tournaments, some in France and Tennis Mag talked about it.I had the feeling she was even better than Su-Wei.Has she been injured since? She didn't play a lot:(

Tu es Français? On est pas mal,on dirait, mais je ne sais pas s'il y a beaucoup de supporters des joueuses asiatiques:confused: .
J'espère qu'on pourra discuter un jour:D

Yes, Tennis Mag had an article about "The Champions from the other end of the World" (Tennis Mag. No. 296 - pages 76 to 79) where Shuai Peng good results had been pointed out.

THE reference regarding Asian players is Danker. But he is sleeping now. He'll see the posts tomorrow.

toujours d'accord pour discuter en français, mais ce site n'accepte pas les codes ASCII et mon clavier n'a pas d'accents. Donc pas toujours très pratique...

Pour le moment, je vais déconnecter car il est 4:45 du matin ici... :wavey:

What a joke this draw is! If only Nan-Nan managed to scrape through to the maindraw. :(
Steve, what did I tell you about Nan-Nan and Tian-Tian in the same quarter?
At least all 4 Chinese girls could make the draw this week. :)

Hi Kaelin. :)
Shuai got injured at the National Championships in November, but she seems ok now. She'll make her 2002 debut at India in a couple of weeks time. She's allowed to play 10 tourneys this year. Hopefully she'll make full use of them.
Unfortunately, Yi Jing-Qian retired after the National Championships when she got injured (again) in the QF. :fiery:

danker, this draw is even worse than Nan Nan and Tian Tian in the same quarter   .

Next time, just tell me about one Chinese player in each quarter ;) .

Fortunately, it is the last tournament in UK : the draws were getting just worse and worse for the Chinese players  .
