Su Wei pushed Dramabel alot farther than I expected...two tiebreaks in two and a half hours against a clay court specialist....thats damn good...good match practice for the FO...but yeah, she led 2-4 in 1st set tie break and had two set points but Dramabel had better stats in the first...Su Wei was up 2-5 and 5-6 and served for the second set three times and was broken each time...She should have won the second, but good effort...almost every game went to a deuce...definitely a gritty exhausting match to follow...Good luck at the French Su Wei

Extremely impressed with Su-Wei. She may not have won but to go toe to toe with Medina Garrigues for 2 and half hours on a slow clay court with such a close scoreline is nothing to be ashamed of. AMG now stands at 27-4 at this tournament with 3 titles since 2005. And three of the losses came against Sharapova, Bartoli and Peng all very fine players. AMG loves it here.

I have always rather thought Su-Wei couldn't really play very well on clay. She has definately proved me wrong this week.

As someone that has watched a bunch of Su Wei matches I can conclude than on breakpoints/setpoints/matchpoints she stops playing her game, just pushes and seems scared
Throughout this year though she has been phasing that out. Still, I overreacted a little because I know how she can play and how she did play

Its because she moves nicely on clay, gets better angles and has more time to set up. A bit why Nana is good on clay
