“I really don’t know what happened today. The match was a mess. Ariana was amazing the first set but I managed to regroup” said American Josephine Tyler-Malone following her three set win over Ariana Salvatore. The World No.5 next faces Sannie Carlson “she beat me in the final in Stuttgart and I really wanted that Porsche... so I’m I’ve got revenge on my mind” added the 20-year-old.

A bad day at the office for Larissa Ovechkina.

Historically, I’ve never done well the week prior to the French Open. Today was tough. I couldn’t get out of first gear and she jumped on me from the start. I’m disappointed but this gives me some time to get in a few more practice days in Paris because I’ll be there tomorrow. I just can’t wait. So many great memories there. »

Close call. Another tough one next against Graf. Sabine leads the H2H 3-1 [Graf leads 1-0 this season and 1-0 on clay].

This is the end of an era.

Vittoria will never return to top 10 again. Or win another grand slam title. She has past her peak. I've accepted it now. Haha.

She has everything she's done to achieve her goals. #1 in singles and doubles. Won 2 singles grand slam titles. Won multiple doubles grand slam titles. Won a silver medal in doubles and a gold medal in mixed.

I'll stick around for the year for Miranda 😁 And then I'm outta of here. 👍🏼

You are underperforming and you have what it takes to be back to the top 😘 Good Luck in the next week!

Just there to collect the apparence fee
"In these dark times, in the midst of a world pandemic, no appearance fees are being handed out to players, that is a straight up lie. We as a tournament can barely survive, we can't afford to pamper anyone"
- tournament director in Strasbourg when asked about the suspicious allocations of resources in their budget

Third seed next up :(

Marteena needs to build up her ranking so she doesn't keep facing seeds so early....
