Then why did she choose the two summer clay court events instead of playing on the hard stuff? Sure she would have to had to qualify, but the true test of how good she is against the bigger guns is in the States right now.
Is she competing in the remaining hard-court events leading up to the Open?
She entered the "small" clay events as when the commits were to be made, her ranking was not good enough to get into the "big" hardcourt events. Now, it is after playing her claycourt summer.
smart choice of tournaments and good draw will bring you high - perfect example was Angeles Montolio. But she is much better then Angeles. I would say around 42 by the end of the year with no injuries.
poor angeles i watched her lose to kournikova in sydney a few years ago and culdnt believe she was ranked 20 but she was still top50-70 material and was a great clay-courter...
and she got rorted with her match against seles when leading 7-6 3-2 30-00 i think and she didnt win another game
come back soon angeles!!!!
